The company behind Quakebots technology
The innovative startup Wise Robotics srl was founded in 2015 and incubated at the offices of Spazio Attivo di Lazio Innova in Rome.
Converted into an innovative SME in 2020, the company creates solutions that employ the latest technologies in the IoT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data fields, enabling the extraction of value from data to optimize and accelerate the decision-making processes of individuals and companies.
Wise Robotics Srl has been a first mover in the Italian market of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), developing Quakebots, an innovative solution that allows for the continuous structural monitoring of buildings and infrastructures, meeting the need of technical personnel to have clear information on the behavior of structures.
For the Quakebots system, two industrial invention patents have been requested and obtained. Additionally, a provisional patent has been requested, currently in the process of being converted into an Italian patent, which particularly covers the architecture of the Quakebots system on structural systems such as bridges and viaducts.
Monitoring of infrastructure and cultural heritage
In addition to the residential market, Quakebots also provides an essential solution for monitoring historical and cultural assets, infrastructure, dams, schools, and industrial applications.
An excellent use case is the installation at the Upper Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi. Here, the Quakebots system was involved in the restoration of linear potentiometers placed on the vaults of the Basilica and for the monitoring of the bell tower.
Quakebots is at the forefront as a solution for the continuous dynamic monitoring of infrastructure such as bridges, viaducts, and overpasses.
